ABOUT RE:HANU

Small Choices. A Second Life.

RE:HANU is a student-led campaign at Hanoi University that turns a simple idea into practical action: don’t throw something away before thinking about what it could become next.

01

REUSE

Use, repair, repurpose, or keep an item in use for longer.

02

DONATE

Pass on clothes, books, and useful items to someone who needs them.

03

RECYCLE

Sort recyclable materials so they can be processed and used again.

WHY IT MATTERS

THE PROBLEM

Everyday items can become waste simply because we stop seeing their next possible use. RE:HANU asks students to pause before throwing them away.

CLOTHES

Can someone else wear them?

BOOKS

Can they be shared or passed on?

PACKAGING

Can it be reused or sorted?

BOTTLES

Can it be reused or recycled?

Before you throw something away, think twice.

THE RE:HANU METHOD

GIVE IT A SECOND LIFE

When you no longer need something, it does not automatically mean it is useless. Choose the next step that keeps useful items in circulation.

REUSE

Use it again, repair it, or find a new purpose.

DONATE

Give useful items to someone who can use them.

RECYCLE

Sort recyclable materials so they can enter the recycling process.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Think twice before throwing something away. Ask yourself: Can I reuse it? Can I donate it? Can I recycle it?
